About Primer Design

Primers target the circRNA backsplice junction (BSJ):

  • Overlap primers — span the BSJ directly; preferred for specific detection
  • Cross primers — flank the BSJ; used when overlap designs fail

Parameters: Tm 57-63°C, GC 20-80%, product 80-150 bp.

Requires primer3-py and biopython installed.
